Before joining Borgos Law in 2015, Maren worked in Intellectual Property, where she managed multi-million dollar patent portfolios before transitioning to a position assisting Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Panel Trustees and creditor attorneys with complex bankruptcy issues. She also has extensive litigation experience in both state and federal courts.
Maren is the current Director of Positions & Issues and a national delegate for the Minnesota Paralegal Association, as well as an Association Management Co-Coordinator for the National Federation of Paralegal Associations. She also served on the Minnesota State Bar Association's Alternative Legal Models Task Force and is a member of the MSBA Family and Criminal Sections.
As President of Sensible Minnesota, Maren leads the only charitable non-profit in the State of Minnesota working on cannabis law reform. She is also a volunteer mediator for Mediation Conflict Solutions, where she has an almost perfect record co-mediating parenting time disputes. She has been a crisis advocate for DFO Victim Services for six years, serves on her community's Planning & Zoning Commission, and is working on bringing a dog park to her community.
