Borgos Law has a unique background that prepares us to help Minnesota's Medical Cannabis patients resolve their legal issues. Brandan worked tirelessly in 2014 at the Minnesota State Capitol to give patients safe and legal access to medical cannabis, and the ensuring patient protections were written into law. Since 2015, Maren has worked one-on-one with patients through Sensible Minnesota to answer questions and help patients get into the registry. We understand each patient has unique circumstances and it’s our job to make sure you get the help you deserve.
Under Minnesota Law, patients have protections in the areas of family law, housing, and employment. Patients experiencing discrimination despite these protections are not alone. If your case is outside of the scope of our practice, we will connect you with another trusted attorney in our network to make sure you're dealing with a firm as caring and compassionate we are.
We understand some patients may have criminal issues to deal with as well. Brandan will advocate to the courts on your behalf to allow you to use this safer medicine despite law enforcement, probation, or prosecutor objection. We don't guarantee results, but we will work our hardest to protect you from criminal-related sanctions for simply using medicine.
Can't afford an attorney? Borgos Law does offer payment plans and reduced rates for low-income patients. We also can help connect you to community legal aid resources available. Helping Minnesota's medical cannabis patients is our passion, and we will do what we can to reduce the stress caused by legal issues surrounding your patient status.
