Our clients deserve a fair trial and that the State prove its case against them beyond a reasonable doubt.
Does debt have you down? Can’t pay all those credit card bills? We can help! Simple Chapter 7 bankruptcies shouldn’t cost you a fortune, and Borgos Law has a unique perspective when it comes to identifying potential litigation issues within your bankruptcy to give you a true picture as to the implications of filing bankruptcy. For a simple, no asset, Chapter 7 bankruptcy, we will work with you to prepare and file on your behalf the documents you need to be free from the weight of your debt.
We all have made mistakes in life, especially when we were young, and those mistakes probably include shopping, partying, and traveling when you couldn’t afford it. No judgment here. Maybe it is just medical debt that you just can’t get out from underneath. What we can help rid you of, we will. Don’t know much about bankruptcy? Here’s your rundown. A bankruptcy will allow you to “discharge” unsecured debts and get out from under the baggage of mountains of bad decisions.
If we find issues in your bankruptcy that could make it an even worse decision, we’ll tell you and give you some strategies for working with credit card companies, judgment creditors, and other creditors. Don’t want your mom to get sued? We’ll tell you the likelihood of that happening to prevent that from happening before the Trustee gets to it.
How do we save you money on a bankruptcy filing? Efficiency! (Also, our paralegal is a bankruptcy genius). After your initial consultation and a determination that bankruptcy is right for you, we will prepare your filings, review them with you, and finalize the documents prior to filing. Upon filing, debts and debt collection are “stayed” meaning those annoying collection calls stop. After filing, you will need to attend the “Meeting of Creditors” a/k/a “341 Hearing” with your attorney where the Trustee will ask questions about your filing. If all goes well, that’s it! You’ll receive your discharge in about 60 days from the court -- and your creditors receive notice that they can’t collect and have to leave you alone.
Filing bankruptcy has a number of implications, but often times your credit is so bad anyway that a bankruptcy filing might actually increase your credit score. Let us help you stop the harassment, make those bad decisions and bills from unfortunate circumstances “disappear,” and help you move on with your life from the mountain of debt you took out to survive (or party, again no judgment here) -- hopefully without you losing your nice car or 60” smart TV.
